Serving as their trusted Western Jamaica expert to ensure every act of service reaches the families who need it most. Together, we combine compassionate volunteerism with strategic, on-the-ground leadership.
As the local implementation partner, Inspire and Serve provides full logistical support, community partnership engagement, and beneficiary identification across St. James and neighboring parishes. From coordinating food care-package distribution to organizing roofing repairs and community recovery initiatives, we guide each project with cultural insight, operational precision, and a deep commitment to dignity and impact.
Through this collaboration, Texans on Mission brings skilled hands; Inspire and Serve brings local expertise and vision. Together, we deliver hope—one home, one family, one community at a time.
Heal & Rise: Well-Being Sessions for Youth brings together a compassionate team of experts—a psychiatric nurse, peer recovery specialist, and paediatrician —to care for the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of youth in children’s homes and teen pregnancy centers. Through a combination of in-person and virtual sessions, the program creates safe, healing spaces where young people can learn, express themselves, and grow—restoring balance, building resilience, and inspiring a stronger sense of self and hope for the future.
Bringing our Divine Nine family together to volunteer to purchase, ship, deliver, and distribute food, clothing, and toiletries to interior communities within Western Jamaica, currently without support in Whitehourn, Darlinston, etc, and other families in Westmoreland and Hanover.
A powerful collaboration of Virginia churches led by Immanuel Baptist Church has united to support Inspire and Serve through a shared mission of compassion. Together, these congregations gather essential items from our Amazon Wishlist of Needs, ensuring that donations are thoughtfully packaged, shipped, and distributed to local organizations and communities in Jamaica.
This collective effort demonstrates what is possible when faith communities stand together—turning generosity into tangible relief and hope for families rebuilding their lives.
A dynamic collaboration of college women across Upstate New York and neighboring campuses has joined forces to champion dignity for women and girls in Jamaica. Through dedicated drives and awareness efforts, these students are collecting essential donations as part of a powerful Period Poverty Initiative.
Their commitment ensures that women and girls have access to the menstrual care products they deserve—removing barriers, restoring confidence, and empowering futures. This is sisterhood in action, creating impact across borders.
Inspire and Serve has built a powerful global village of more than 30 volunteers—serving both on the ground in Jamaica and virtually from around the world. United by compassion and purpose, these volunteers fuel our “Boots on the Ground” and “Boots Serving Virtually” initiatives, ensuring that help reaches families swiftly and with dignity.
From hands-on recovery work to remote coordination and fundraising, our team is committed to uplifting communities hardest hit by Hurricane Melissa. Additionally, our Pop-Up Grocery Gifting and Phone Top-Up Giving bring immediate relief to families we meet as we travel through affected areas.
Together, we are restoring hope, rebuilding lives, and proving that when the global community shows up—Jamaica rises.

Hearts for Jamaica Update: Spreading Hope and Connection
On November 9th, our Inspire and Serve team visited the Montego Bay Home for Girls—affectionately known as Melody House—to deliver love in action. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we provided essential food, clothing, toiletries, and other much-needed supplies, including a solar power bank to help the staff and girls stay connected. We also began organizing the purchase of a Starlink system with a one-year subscription fully funded, ensuring the home will have reliable internet access to support their studies and communication.
Beyond the donations, we spent meaningful time with the girls—listening, laughing, and learning about their daily experiences. Our team also assessed the facilities to better understand current conditions and identify additional needs as we continue our fundraising efforts and long-term support.
To our incredible donors, thank you for helping us bring light, comfort, and connection to Jamaica’s children. Your kindness is building bridges of hope. We invite everyone to stay involved and follow our ongoing Hearts for Jamaica Giving Campaign—because together, we’re rebuilding lives with love and purpose.
We also had the incredible privilege of visiting Hebron House Teen Pregnancy Centre, where we spent a beautiful and emotional day with the young mothers and their babies—including one expectant mom preparing to welcome new life. We shared warm conversations about their experiences following Hurricane Melissa, offered words of encouragement, and most importantly, listened to their stories with compassion and hope.
Thanks to the kindness of our donors, we provided toiletries, food, clothing, baby supplies, bottles, and other essential goods, helping to ease their daily burdens. We’re also working to equip the center with a Starlink system so that these remarkable young women can stay connected to vital resources, education, and loved ones.
The joy and strength we witnessed were truly inspiring. We can’t wait to return later this month to share laughter and games with the moms and little ones—and to host wellness checkups with local pediatrician Dr. Ilana Dickson, ensuring each child is healthy and thriving.
Together, through the Hearts for Jamaica Giving Campaign, we continue to show that love, community, and compassion can light the way—one home, one mother, and one child at a time.
Whew—We’ve Been Busy! (Posted November 29)
Over the past several weeks, our Inspire and Serve team has been deep in the interior of Western Jamaica—visiting families, churches, and the Clifton Boys’ Home to deliver food packages, pray with households, and assess storm damage for upcoming repairs supported by our partners, Texans on Mission.
We also launched our new initiative, Walk Good & Give: Sat’day Market Bless Up, a compassion-first project bringing unexpected blessings to communities hardest hit by Hurricane Melissa. Our team will quietly move from home to home and shop to shop, offering tarps, solar battery chargers, and on-the-spot grocery assistance.
No sign-ups. No interviews. No requirements. Just kindness in action.
Whether paying for groceries, replacing a destroyed tarp, or gifting a solar charger to someone without power, our mission is simple: restore dignity, relief, and hope—one unexpected blessing at a time.
We have identified several damaged homes and small organizations whose roofs will be repaired to ensure safe, quality living. Additionally, we facilitated the shipment of 14 boxes of donated goods from the Chicago Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, International Awareness & Involvement Committee in Illinois, and are preparing to distribute Amazon Wishlist items to Eve for Life as part of a vital Period Poverty Initiative supporting women and girls.
Hope is rising—and so are we.
Come on, keep up with us.
What an incredible journey!
