Global Outreach and Impact through Diverse Partnerships

Amplifying Community Voices in Global Spaces

Inspire and Serve is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization (NGO) and Jamaican charity committed to ensuring that the voices of women, youth, and communities most affected by crisis are heard — not only locally, but globally. We are dedicated to advancing women’s empowerment, community resilience, and purpose-driven service through locally grounded partnerships.

Listed in the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) Civil Society database. We actively engage in global civil society forums aligned with the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), bringing community-informed perspectives—particularly from Jamaica and the Caribbean—into global dialogue, with a focus on post-crisis recovery, access to justice, and women-led development solutions.

Our work bridges grassroots impact in Jamaica with international advocacy spaces, where policies and priorities

affecting women’s lives are shaped.

ADVOVACY in Action

🎯 Our Global Advocacy Focus

Our advocacy is grounded in real-world programs and partnerships, emphasizing community resilience through:

- Women’s empowerment & protection

- Post-crisis recovery & resilience

- Community-led development

- Access to justice for women and girls

These focus areas reflect both global priorities and the lived realities of the communities we serve.

From Community to Global Dialogue

We believe that meaningful global advocacy must be rooted in lived experience and foster community resilience. Through our programs and partnerships, we elevate community-informed solutions into global conversations on: gender equality, justice and protection, post-crisis recovery, and women's empowerment. This approach ensures that international dialogue reflects the realities of those most impacted.

United Nations Engagement

Inspire and Serve is listed in the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) Civil Society database, recognizing our role as a bona fide civil society organization engaging with UN-aligned platforms to promote community resilience and support post-crisis recovery efforts.

Our UN engagement includes participation in and alignment with the:

Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), including our participation in CSW69 and the upcoming CSW70.

We also engage through the NGO CSW Forum and other global civil society platforms connected to CSW, contributing to dialogue, collaboration, and advocacy around women’s empowerment and rights.

Hurricane Melissa was met with Voices After the Storm committed to restoring dignity and joy in Jamaica.

Voices After the Storm

Our Relief and Recovery Initiative connects community resilience with global advocacy that centers on:

lived experiences after crisis

community dialogue and storytelling

partnership-based recovery models

We translate local insight into global learning — ensuring that our post-crisis recovery efforts reflect community realities, not assumptions, while also prioritizing women's empowerment.

Our Glocal Lens: Where Global Generosity Meets Local Impact

We begin with dignity, equity, and global responsibility, aligning our programs with the spirit and priorities of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) initiatives. By connecting global partners to grassroots organizations in Jamaica, we use tourism as a platform for advocacy, education, and action—ensuring every experience contributes to long-term social impact, enhances community resilience, and supports post-crisis recovery. This approach not only amplifies local voices but also fosters women's empowerment and supports global movements for justice, inclusion, and sustainable development.

Three pillars of sustainable volunteerism: social, environmental, and economic sustainability with community-led projects, cultural respect, and impact tracking.
